At Constance Hospitality, we believe that our responsibility extends beyond the walls of our hotels. True hospitality is rooted in people, communities, and the positive impact we can create together. Guided by this philosophy, Constance Lemuria has completed three community projects on Praslin, reaffirming its commitment to education, well-being, and youth development across the island. Officially inaugurated on 1 June 2026 in celebration of International Children's Day, the initiatives were developed in close collaboration with local institutions and community stakeholders. More than individual acts of support, these projects were designed to create long-term value for the people who will benefit from them for years to come.
The programme began with a simple objective: identify areas where meaningful improvements could have a lasting impact. Through ongoing dialogue with community partners and an assessment of local priorities, three projects emerged as clear opportunities to support children, families, students, and future generations. Each initiative was carefully planned, budgeted, and delivered through a collaborative effort involving multiple departments across Constance Lemuria. From procurement and logistics to renovation works and stakeholder engagement, teams worked together to ensure that every project was completed to the highest standard.
At Grand Anse Praslin Primary School, Constance Lemuria supported the enhancement of the school's music room, creating a brighter and more inspiring space where students can develop their creativity and self-expression. The project included the provision of a complete music set, storage solutions, and seating areas, as well as the renovation of a wash area through tiling and plumbing works. The upgraded facility now offers young learners a welcoming environment in which they can explore their musical talents, build confidence, and discover new avenues for personal growth.
Healthcare facilities play a vital role in every community, and the experience of patients often extends beyond medical care alone. Recognising the importance of comfort and support for families, Constance Lemuria partnered with Baie Ste Anne Hospital to enhance its children's ward and family waiting area. New furniture, bedside tables, privacy screens, children's activity furniture, and waiting area seating were provided, alongside maintenance and refurbishment works. The improvements contribute to a more comfortable and welcoming environment for young patients and the parents and guardians who accompany them during treatment and recovery.
Education and skills development remain central pillars of Constance Hospitality's commitment to sustainable community development. With this in mind, Constance Lemuria undertook the complete refurbishment of the Home Economics and Food & Beverage training room at Praslin Secondary School. The transformation included extensive renovation works from floor to ceiling, encompassing new tiling, lighting, ceiling repairs, cabinetry, plumbing, electrical installations, and fresh interior finishes. The room was also equipped with cutlery, kitchen utensils, furniture, and teaching resources to support practical learning.
Beyond the physical improvements, the project establishes a stronger connection between the school and the hospitality industry. Members of Constance Lemuria's Food & Beverage and Culinary teams will contribute to the programme through guest talks, demonstrations, and practical sessions, helping students discover career opportunities within hospitality while developing valuable life skills.

From leadership and project planning to renovation, logistics, and community engagement, employees from multiple departments contributed their expertise and time to bring each initiative to life.
