C Rodrigues Mourouk Joins Efforts to Restore Rodrigues’ Mangroves
C Rodrigues Mourouk continues to place nature protection at the heart of its initiatives, with a recent mangrove planting activity carried out in collaboration with the Sustainable Environment Management and Protection Authority (SEMPA).
Held at the Mourouk mangrove site on 27 July, shortly after World Mangrove Day on 26 July, the initiative brought together SEMPA personnel, General Workers from the Commission for Environment and members of the C Rodrigues Mourouk team for a hands-on restoration activity.
The teams planted mangrove seedlings as part of efforts to support the regeneration of the local ecosystem. The activity was guided by the message "Protez bann mangrov, protez nou lavenir", meaning protect our mangroves, protect our future, highlighting the importance of protecting these valuable coastal environments for generations to come.
